APS News April 2019

Welcome to the April edition of APS News.

This month, we have an update for you on the independent review of the Australian Public Service (APS), now seeking feedback on its recently released Priorities for Change report.

The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA), is seeking nominations for the Public Sector Innovation Awards to acknowledge creativity in the APS.

The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) is calling all graduates to register for its second graduate series event, Grad Mentor. It is also calling members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) to help test early design thinking for two new SES development initiatives.

For APS employees more broadly, the APSwide conference series will be revisiting capital cities across Australia. Core skills development programs are also now available in five capital cities.

Finally, two opportunities to have your say - the annual APS employee census is quickly approaching and a short survey to find out what you think of APS News.
