APS News August 2018

Welcome to the August edition of APS News. This month, we’re focussing on how you can contribute to leadership development through mentoring.

The Digital Transformation Agency is seeking mentors at the Chief Information Officer level - SES Band 2 or 3 level - for its Women in IT executive mentoring program.

If you’re a graduate coordinator, the APSC has an opportunity for your graduates to explore mentoring by participating at the upcoming Graduate Mentor event on 22 August. To register your grads, please events [at] apsc.gov.au (email) the events team.

Air your views by providing feedback to the OECD to help shape the future of leadership and capability in the public sector and check out the upcoming Human Centred Design (HCD) training taking place through BizLab at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.

Agencies are invited to participate in a pilot project on the induction process for new starters in the APS. You can also read about excELerate, the innovative career development program designed to create an Indigenous executive talent pipeline.

As always, we welcome your feedback and story ideas at communication [at] apsc.gov.au.
