On Thursday, 19 February 2021, the Australian Public Service Commission launched the 2021 State of the Series Roadshow Series, at the House of Representatives Chamber, Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House.

More than 40 APS employees physically present in the chamber were joined by hundreds more online for our first-ever hybrid launch event.

The Hon Ben Morton MP, Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Cabinet, provided a keynote address to attendees, and Peter Woolcott AO, Australian Public Service Commissioner, went on to present key findings from the 2020 State of the Service Report.

This was followed by an open and engaging panel discussion on the topic ‘Spirit of Service’ with three current and former senior APS leaders:

  • Caroline Edwards PSM, Associate Secretary, Department of Health
  • Stephanie Foster PSM, Deputy Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
  • Andrew Todd PSM, former First Assistant Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
