Writing it right with misconduct reports

The Merit Protection Commissioner reviewed 50 Code of Conduct decisions last year. Each case required a well written report that presented the case. The MPC has found there are often some common omissions or pitfalls when writing such reports.

The human resource practitioner’s guide to handling misconduct is a useful resource when writing a misconduct report. The Administrative Review Council has also written a series of helpful documents on decision-making, including presenting the ‘Evidence, Facts and Findings’.
